Alucar Oy is a Finnish company specialized to planning, selling and producing of superstructures and bunks for timber transport vehicles. The company’s high-quality products are manufactured primarily from aluminium in order to maximize timber truck payloads.

Alucar Oy was established in 1984 and has been a pioneer in developing and building timber trucks for a quarter of a century.

Alucar’s products and highly automated production are based on precisely designed modular structures. Parts are pre-manufactured for easy and quick assembly, minimizing the need for welding. Careful design and prefabrication ensure rapid installation. Changing spare parts is a snap thanks to bolt connections.

Alucar Oy is part of the Extendo Group, a Swedish specialist in timber transport and cargo securing technology.

Alucar is the market leader by a good margin in Finland. Exports account for about 70 per cent of its turnover. Products are exported to over 30 countries. The company’s traditional export markets are Scandinavia, continental Europe, Russia and the Baltic countries. Products have also been exported as far as North and South America, Africa and Japan.

In 2008 Alucar Oy manufactured 380 timber truck superstructures and 5,000 timber bunks.
